GOOD Afternoon Jean & Jimmie,
I want to thank you so very much for accepting a couple of last minute requests for our January 21st graduation. First, for the student speaker award. Secondly, and most importantly, for getting 1,000 copies of the program printed the day before graduation. I can’t imagine how our graduates and their guests would have felt if there had been no printed programs commemorating this very significant accomplishment in our students’ lives.

Good Day. I’ve written to some of you before about a company that handled our paraphernalia/souvenirs that we hand out at outreach events. I am taking the time to introduce you to another company, Image Graphics, and one that I will forever use because of the POC’s attention to detail and ability to make you feel like she’s working for you all the time. My POC is Ms. Sharon Brown and she has been a terrific person to work with. She goes above and beyond the call of duty, does research (she actually went on the CDC website to check up on some information that I didn’t have time to check myself), makes recommendations about customizing/localizing our hand-outs/giveaways and is just an overall pleasant and professional person to work with. I have credited Sharon’s attention to detail and suggestion of customizing paraphernalia so that we could give away stuff that people would actually use (as opposed to getting them and trashing them) as one of the reasons that the V.I. Department of Health recently earned a national award for excellence in public health education on our Dengue Fever campaign. If you’re at the Department of Health and got a scroll pen or book mark with Dengue info or perhaps you got the portable repellent sprays and wipes – all with the DOH logo and “Fight the Bite” message – that was Sharon’s work! Take it from me, tuck this information away and try her when you need to drive home your campaign message with more than just educational pamphlets. By the way, she didn’t ask me to do this, I am doing this on my own because I’m just so thrilled with her work.
